So what is the water mentioned in 1 John 5:8?

1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three are one. I know the Spirit bears witness with our spirit, and the blood is how we are redeemed and by it we know we are saved. The controversy is the water; is it water baptism or the living water mentioned in John 4:10-14 and John 7:38?

    The water represents the washing away our sins.
