Birds are masters at hiding illnesses. If you suspect your bird is sick then it likely is dying. This may include signs like, ruffled appearance, listlessness, not eating, unusual poops. If you have any doubts, please take your bird to a vet ASAP.

A bird on the verge of dying shows all or some of the following symptoms:
-They're very thin
-Very weak
-Can't hold their wings up
-Weird colored or shaped poop
-tail bobbing (their tail bobs up and down very noticibly)
-wheezing or difficulty breathing
-They won't eat or drink
-fluffed up appearance
-They can't stand on one leg and sit with both legs on the ground
-They can't perch and often sit on the ground
Then there's obvious stuff like severely broken bones, bleeding, bite or burn marks. Most birds will hide their illness so well that by the time they're showing symptoms they'll be Very very sick. It can take a bird less than 24 hours to die from a cat scratch!

Sadly, our beloved conure is dying right now. My wife is cuddling it and it is squeeking for air with every breath. It's so hard to watch, so painful. On top of that, had a brutal day at work, very bad day.

If you think your pet bird is dying i would suggest that you take it to a vet. What is your bird doing to make you think it is dying

If he looks very weak and is at the bottom of his cage with his eyes closing then he could be dying.It would be a great idea to take him to the vets right away before he does die.
