goat might have pinkeye?
i just noticed a little bit ago that my goats eye is very pink and had some white stuff coming out of it. is it pinkeye? if it is, is there someway i could treat it without taking her to the vet? if theres not i will take her right away. also will it spread to my 4 other goats?? any other info about pinkeye would help too. thanks!

i see your problem, i have lambs, and i have never encountered this b4, but it is possible to spread to the other goats, i'd isolate it and call a vet, and yes, its more than likely pinkeye.

Well in people pinkeye is definetly catchy. I usually put a washcloth on the eye with some salt on it. The salt water cleans the eye out and kind of disinfects it. I've fought it off with the salt water. Why not call a vet's office and ask. They should tell you if that is possible. If it is then you know to take the animal to the vet. Call a few different vets' offices. Maybe one of them will tell you. Even maybe if you have an animal hospital near by they will tell you. Good luck. In the mean time you may want to quarantine the goat from the others and make sure that you wash your hands and change your clothes when you go near it.
