Why can I hear a bubbling sound in our central air duct work?

We can hear the sound coming through the registers in every room of our house. The sound just started yesterday, and it won't stop. It doesn't matter whether the air conditioner is running or not, it still makes the sound. The sound seems to be the loudest at the top of the furnace in our basement. I am hoping that it is condensation, and not a freon leak. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It could be freon spraying in your lines and echoing through the duct work, it's been really hot here, maybe there too, If so, then your system is getting a little extra work out. and you just noticed it. Try blowing on the drain line to clear it, If a lot of water comes out then you have it, I would guess the freon working, if so Don't worry about!

It sounds like the drain for your air conditioner is clogged.
