Why do we press harder on the remote control when we know the batteries are going dead ??

IDK, Maybe because we think we have suck the last bit of battery life out if we press the hardest. I like to bang on it myself as if that has even made a difference too.
Or have you ever taken out the batteries and switched those around as if that would get a few more minutes out of them.

For me, I'm probably just being lazy. I know that it would probably take little time to just pop in some new batteries, but something tells me oh well maybe I can squeeze just a little more power out of those dying batteries.
