Renaissance-style music?

How can I find an album/artist/symphony/etc with music that sounds like what you'd hear at a renaissance festival-middle ages type thing? Is there a certain style of music that I should look for? Or a particular composer? I'm not good with instruments but the sound I'm thinking of is like a slowly played or picked at acoustic guitar with some type of a flute instrument I think...

I know what kind of music you are thinking of.

Perhaps you should look up some composers of the Renaissance Era of music. You can find a large list on Wikipedia (link is below). Then try to look up their mp3s.

Or if you know a movie that takes place during the Renaissance, then you could try to look up the soundtrack and see if it has that type of music.

    Hope this helps :)

nicely for me i'm going to be waiting to easily say that I want music which could be somewhat "catchy" and contains aspects that i will grab unto. i don't recommend catchy as in a hook or a looping refrain besides the shown fact that rather a definite sound or variety-specified element that my concepts can latch unto and groove to.Sludge metallic working example has the "heaviness" factor and slow, crunchy sound that i found I truthfully have favorite ever thinking the shown fact that my first few listens to Black Sabbath. i'm now not in basic terms going to hearken to a music because of the certainty I merely like the lyrics or the drums sections is prolific or different reasons that people have indexed as to why they hear to a mind-blowing music. rather of that my variety is fascinating diverse yet i'm only 19 so it remains very lots organising and progressing. ultimate now, i'm open to on the brink of regardless of. i'm now not particularly set on any distinctive ideology or some factor to that style. regardless of sounds stable i'm going to bump it. The link below will open the world of John Dowland for you. He is one of the greatest composers who ever lived in my opinion ( which along with $20.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks).

    I hope you enjoy.
