I haven't had this particular issue, but it sounds like you have been infected with some kind of malware. Unfortunately, if you find one infection, it is highly likely you have another one.

Since NONE of the anti-spyware/anti-adware programs are 100% accurate in finding and removing spyware, you need at least two programs which you will run one after the other, not at the same time.

There are two excellent free ones:

    Spybot, Search and Destroy

    and

    Ad-Aware

Both are available FREE from www.download.com

You will need to download, install, update and run them, one at a time. Be careful with the NAME of these programs - there are "look-alikes" with very similar names, that are in fact spyware themselves!

After this current infection is cleared up, be sure to run both of the above programs at least once a week if you are on the internet frequently and/or like to download music or files.

Before you run these, clean up (delete) your cookies, temp files and temporary internet files. I prefer to use Ccleaner (available at www.filehippo.com) to do this, rather than the built-in DISK CLEANUP. If you want to use Disk Cleanup, you can find it if you:

    - Double-Click on My Computer to open it up

    - RIGHT-click on your C: drive

    - Choose PROPERTIES and then click on the DISK CLEANUP button

    - When done, reboot your computer.

Delete these files daily or run Ccleaner every day right before you shut your computer down.

You should also have a good anti-virus program and a firewall to help protect your computer. AVG FREE is an excellent anti-virus program, which can be downloaded from www.download.com. Zone Alarm makes a totally free version (watch you don't download the 30-day free trial of the paid version). You can download this from the manufacturer at www.zonelabs.com

    HTH : )

    Good luck!

The best way is to download Ccleaner here http://bitly.com/UrALrK

Or you can go on Windows operating system locate the command prompt and go there to do the following:

Create a Recovery file of system and date it today.

    Then begin by;

delete the 'Temp' folders..they have hidden subfolders so you need to set the attributes in order to bypass this. For each subfolder delete all cookies and rubbish left behnd after install-uninstalled programs. Do a 'dir' command to check your progress. Make sure the 'Temp' file is empty.

goto c:\windows\prefetch and delete everything in there..no exceptions

goto c:\windows folder and delete all the '$' files that have been installed by updates. They can all be succesfully deleted and just take up disk space.

Locate the Internet Temporary Files..Check to see how high the saving level is..some have it set at 30 days..but that stores faaaar tooo much data..though it slows down the system overal. Keep this to a minimum..suggest 2 or 5 at most.

Delete all 'cookies' all those you don't need.

Locate the windows directory and go through the folders you know and those you don't need. Check this once a week at least. Some programs will install under XP as NT and older systems where there is no check of systems weight.

Check to see that system files have not changed since last booting. Things like .ini files or .bat are important items.

Check for 'Hidden Directories' all over the disk...do this at the command prompt:

dir *.* /ah wil show these hidden directories

Check the 'dir' command for all parameters

Yes, I've gotten that type of thing (I don't recall if it was exactly that - but very similar) a number of times (although certainly not all that often).

You don't generally don't have to do anything (I've never done anything when I get that). Of course, there's a chance you get that message for a different reason that I have.

You may want to download an anti-spyware program like SpyBot (if you don't already have one) and run it. It will let you know if there's any bad ad-ware on your system after you run a scan. You can then click "fix", and it will. If the program takes up too much room on your machine you can always uninstall it after you've cleaned your system.

You can then shut off the machine and start it up again.

I don't really think you have to do this, but if you keep getting that message too often you may want to.

General error message. Seems to be Yahoo limiting bandwidth access to an IP address temporarily. I you check your email every five minutes, constantly download files from Yahoo groups, you may encouter the message, or you may encoubter it arbitrarily. Signing in through a different IP address can help or waiting till the next day.
