Can Manny Pacquiao really fight at lightweight??

Can he Pacquiao fight at 135? Yes, he can. Will his success at that weight class be as successful as it was at 130? I don't think so.... or it won't be as easy.

Just like many boxers who move up several weight classes from their starting division, their power doesn't move up greatly. Felix Trinidad was known for having knockout power at lighter divisions, but against Bernard Hopkins, Hopkins was surprised at how light Trinidad's punches were as compared to other opponents of Hopkins. Anyway, for fighters who depend on their power, it's very difficult to have success against bigger guys who have fought guys with bigger power.

Pacquaio earn a lot of his wins from his power, which made up for his lackin on defense. His power won't be as big of a factor at higher classes and his lack of defense will only hurt him as he goes up against naturally bigger and stronger fighters. Now, if Pacquiao was more if a boxer who relied on defense, countering and quickness, instead of power, then I would give him a little more chance of success at higher weight classes.

although many has good power and estamina for his weightclass,the 5lbs extra that will take away both of these from manny.most 135 lightweights out there now are at their natural weight and their speed is just as good as manny's but with a little more power which will be too much for my man manny.he is a great fighter at his weight.i dont want him to go out losing.he deserves to stay on top!

Pacquaio should add a few pounds & fight their because his last couple of fights he's been killin er'body.

one of his most memorable win was his devastating TKO win against former three-time world champion Marco Antonio Barrera.he also killed morales on their last two fight against each other.
