As an American citizen living abroad have I left myself enough time to get a ballot mailed out?

Depends on when your primary is if you're voting in the primary. You have tons of time for the general election

Give yourself at LEAST three months, these things are held up sometimes. I can't tell you how many mail in ballots arrived a day or week too late to be counted. I worked at the county court house during one election, and even servicemen's ballots arrived too late. There were stacks of them, literally.
