Born again Christians ?

They sure do act like it.

But think about this.

We cannot think we are better because to be born again, we must acknowledge that we are a sinner, we cannot ever hope to be good enough to even please God on our own ability.

God loves both the non-believer and believer alike. However, the believer has God's FAVOR because they have accepted His Son as the Lord and Savior.

We are saved by grace, so there is nothing we can take credit for.

Though I must honestly say, I know a devout Born again Christian who, after two years of preaching to me, has finally become human again ... though he still is a devout Christian, he just doesn't preach to me anymore ...we can actually have a conversation without the word Jesus coming up !

Not just for them to think they're better than everyone else, but to sneer at other 'lesser' Christians as well.

That some of these people were born ONCE is hard enough to take.

To me:

Born again means a Pastor/Head of Baptist Church told the Christian woman/man that she/he is new again, and that Jesus has forgiven their sins because of what he did for them. However, the Pastor is a mere mortal - like you and I - and never has contact with Jesus (really). So how would she/he know?

Of course it is. Then you can feel a bit guilty about feeling pride, but you are a member of a special group, and that is the point. That is the attraction.

"Born again" is the most misinterpreted and misunderstood aspect in the economy of salvation.

I won't go into it here, but obviously it is not an excuse to think such a thought.

It is God's greatest gift to each saved human.

No, we arent better we are just like everyone else. Just we are forgiven and the spirit of God dwells in us.

THERE ARE A LOT OF HYPOCRITICAL christians though and thats what you seem to have experienced.

they use that as an excuse to be jerks. The girls are little sl&ts drinking, dancing and being like tramps then they say yeah jesus is my lord and savour blah blah blah thank god i converted to a real religion Islam. What would give you that idea?? I am no better than anyone and I definitely do not deserve all that God had blessed me with, but I have faith in Him and he finds favor in that and gives me grace because He is a God of compassion.
