Lap top battery charge?
got a new laptop back in october and i left it on charge alot is it possible to kill the battery by overcharging ? my battery only lasts like 1hour now?? any ideas or possibly defective
it was a gift and didn't come with instructions

i've always been told when you get a device with a new battery, to get the longest life out of it, you charge it 100% then use the battery and let it die 100%, then charge it fully again and let it die fully again. Do that a couple times and it conditions the battery to last longer.
I could be wrong though, but my laptop battery's always last a long time and this is what i do.

No, it doesn't work that way. It never kills the battery if you overcharge it. I think the problem is your laptop !!
