can i cut an lcd screen to have two ?

If i buy a 40 inch LCD panel, can i cut the screen in half with a fine saw, so as to have two 20 inch LCD panels to use for different computers?

    You actually can. But you can't just cut an LCD and think it will work. Cutting LCD's is a common practice for many large companies who want to take a standard product and get smaller displays out of it which would then be a custom size. Many people think this would be more expensive then buying a new custom display. However, it is much cheap to take a larger panel and cut it, AS LONG AS you cut on the right axis points. There is a lot of steps and this CANNOT be done by any person in their basement. Look up a professional service who have the cutting and mending framework.
