Why do they still have Day Light Savings time?

With the new evidence out that Day Light savings doesn't save money or resources why do they still do it? They keep moving it around, why don't they just set a standard time like in Indiana and Arizona and leave it alone?

Update:

You haven't seen the news reports the past few days that have reported a couple studies that have been done that show it doesn't save money but actually costs more? The study was based off of Indiana the time before they went to DST and now. People are up earlier so during the spring and fall have to turn the heat up. Then during summer are home more during the afternoon evening so have to run a/c longer. and other facts.

I haven't seen your 'new evidence', but people like it. They like having daylight after work to do things in nice outdoor weather. But keeping DST through the winter means mornings are really dark and depressing. Feeding the chickens before work, when it was pitch black, was unpleasant. I couldn't wait for DST to be over. The synchronized workday is a construct of man for the convenience of society. Why shouldn't man adjust it to his satisfaction? DST is much easier to administer than trying to encourage every business to adjust their operating hours, and getting people to remember them. It's much easier to shift twice a year.
