Maybe it's a joke. She was wrong to break her promise and it probably cut through you with a knife? I think you should tell us who the first person on her myspace is, like is it another bff or her boyfriend or someone like that. If she was joking, it's a mean joke, but if you're bffs you can get over it. If she wasn't, well, I don't think you should make too big a deal of it. She broke her promise. Confront her about that. But it's her choice who her best friends are. Confront her, OK? And add who her top friend is.

The same thing happened to me, only my best friend left me off her top 16 completely!

I said to her that I was feeling a little left out because she was top on mine and I wasn't even on hers and she told me that it was a huge mistake and she hadn't meant to leave me off. The chances are that she has just forgotten about your promise. If you talk calmly to her about how you're feeling she should either explain her feelings to you about why you're not top any more, or she will realize that you're accidentally second and move you up.

But seriously, sweetie, an Internet matter is definitely no reason to dump a best friend - you guys should be closer than a position on a top 16 list.

SERIOUSLY? Is that all you have to worry about? You have bigger things in life. Did she sleep with your boyfriend? Did she hit you or steal from you? So she moved you. Myspace doesn't mean friendship. Maybe the person she put above you just really gave her a hard time about not being #1 and she figured that you would be understanding about it. Talk to her about it before you go calling her names and jumping to conclusions.

This so called friend either lost respect for you long ago or is angry with you or jealous or envious of you. It doesn't matter which. She is laughing in your face, that means she is inviting a response from you and doesn't care what that response would be. She doesn't deserve your pity of fear to hurt her feelings. She is no longer yours. Disappear out of that persons life. Don't tell anyone. Just do it. Anyone with or around this persons who seem to be concerned about your dropping this person; drop them, too.

You have too much clutter in your life right now. You need to re-focus on who you are, whose you are and where you want to be in your life. That clutter includes unnecessary people.
