recommend a laptop?

I am a student and dont want to pay a lot... no more than $700. What is the best laptop for me to get?

    i have 2 laptops. a dell that costed about 1500.00 and a toshiba satellite that was only 500!!! and to be honest, the toshiba is my fav out of the two. the only downfall is that i dont have alot of memory on the toshiba but external harddrives are not that expensive. try best buy, thats where i got mine.

    One with a long battery life. Make sure you have at least 1Gb of ram these days. Toshiba is one of the better brands if you can get one cheaply. AVG can save you money on security. Safari can help you surf the Internet better.
