Would the FairTax be good for the country?

A National Sales tax replacing all other federal taxes

if you buy, you pay (if you save you don't)

everyone gets a rebate based on the size of your family.

you keep your whole paycheck (no withholding at all)

exports are not taxed (creating jobs)

No exemptions (so no one can get their political buddy's to un-tax them)

I fully support the Fair Tax, I think it would be beneficial to the country.

As its name suggests, it is fair. Everyone would be taxed equally, based on their purchases. People who work "under the table" or some other less than legal manner, would still pay their share of taxes.

While it has its imperfections, it seems more fair than any other option.

In my opinion if it works as it is supposed to it would be good .But its been my experience not to take anything from government at face value and I have not examined it closely. If it taxed everyone equally for what they buy. I think it would be better than current tax system

personally i believe we should abolish the income tax and replace it with nothing. and correspondingly abolish most federal government programs. if we just replace it with something else the federal government will continue to grow unabated.
