    With present technology we can go 28,000 mph

    32,000 mph by Pioneer 10.

    35,800 by New Horizons, (in space now, headed for Pluto)

    38,600 by Voyager 1

    and 108,000 by Galileo as it fell into Jupiter.

    A trip to Mars would not achieve those speeds any time soon, though, because they all require the acceleration of a big planet like Jupiter.
