i was told the car was a nissan 350z nismo and when i got home the paperwork said just nissan 350z?
This was from a dealership, they told me when i purchased the car that it was a nissand 350z nismo which is the highest nissan 350z you can buy, so i was excited because of the price, well i signed all the papers and when i got home i was looking at the paperwork and realized that the paperwork said nissan 350z and thats it. i also checked the vin number and it says that it is just a nissn 350z which means i paid more for the car! Is there anything that i can do. Can i go to the dealer and ask for the difference between the nissan 350z and the nissan 350z nismo? what can i do please help thanks

For the first time ever in the Nissan Z’s 37-year history, a high-performance NISMO 350Z is part of the extensive Z lineup. The new 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z, which makes its North American debut at the 2007 New York International Auto Show, features an extensively developed list of unique equipment – including a special body package and improved handling equipment. This new model, the fifth in the 2007 350Z Coupe lineup, is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. It goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in July 2007.
The most striking visual feature of this special vehicle is the NISMO aerodynamics package, which strongly resembles the Super GT championship winning Zs. Featuring an aggressive front fascia with chin spoiler, side skirts, an extended rear fascia with underbody diffuser and a rear wing, the NISMO 350Z produces additional aerodynamic downforce to provide enhanced cornering and handling performance.
Does your car have that? If yes, it's the nismo.
Also look at the tires.
Additional performance features include a special NISMO-tuned independent multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers (with 12.8-inch front and 12.7-inch rear rotors) and special NISMO-branded gunmetal gray RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels (18x9-inch front and 19x10-inch rear with 245/40 WR18 front, 265/35 WR19 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires). A special NISMO-branded tuned exhaust adds an even more authoritative tone to the Z’s 306-horsepower V6 engine.
Lastly, look at the seats and the dash.
Inside, NISMO 350Z drivers receive special treatment with unique black cloth seats with red inserts, red stitching throughout the interior and special NISMO white-faced tachometer. All NISMO 350Zs receive a serialized NISMO-etched aluminum plaque mounted on the center console, designating its limited edition status.
If yours is not the Nismo edition, and your paper work doesn't say you are getting the nismo edition, there isn't a whole lot you can do.
As always, what the salesman says means nothing. What is written down is what matters, and only that matters.

I believe 350z Nismo has different back tail + side skirt from the normal 350z. You should make a call to your dealer and ask for their damn explanation. It's strange to me when you didn't take a test drive for the 350z Nismo, and signed all paperwork without looking at them.

If it was a Nismo, it would have a black lip spoiler at the bottom of the front bumper. It would say Nismo on the back of the car and inside the car. It would have different wheels from other 350z's.

go on line nissanusa.com and see just what a NISMO Z looks like difusers in the rear and splitter in front body kit extra reinforcements under the hood and stiffer suspension all around. And take it back NISMO are $ 14,000 more expensive and each is a numbered example.

You have between 24 and 48 hrs to return the car. That's what I would do and you can tell the salesman to drive it right into his fanny! Then march your fanny to his competitor and tell them the story and start over. This time, pay closer attention to what you are buying. It's still your responsibility to pick and choose the correct car and to make certain it's what you are getting. I do think you got backed into a corner by the sales staff and may have been fooled.

I think there's a 3-day Buyer's Remorse law. If you change your mind about a purchase in that time, you can undo the transaction. I'd see if that were true.

Call the dealership and talk to the salesman you had. Then talk to his manager.
You've got 24 hours to change your mind, by law, but after that it's all your property and not their concern.

What you can do is know exactly what you are buying next time. I think its too late. Maybe just stick to American cars next time. They have clearer names on their cars.
