Save an injured apple tree?

A dog scaped all the bark from an young apple tree three days ago(chasing bees!). How do I save the tree? Trunk diameter 2 inches.

    Put some of the pruning compound on it and then wrap it with a tree wrap and get a piece of welded fence and make a circular barrier make sure to give it lots of growing room.

    The tree stands a 99% chance of surviving if you do this.

    Some garderners just don't know of the many things available to help a wounded tree.

    If the bark is gone all around the tree, there is nothing you can do to save it. The tree will not be able to transport nutrients and will die. Plant another one and this time surround it with fencing material in a circle a couple of feet from the trunk.

    It in no longer ineffective and brittle, it proably will develop lower back! I advise shifting the roots to an area the place animals wont get to it! If that no longer an selection, it time to do away with it! :(
