Neverwinter Nights diamond or NWN 2 ??

I wanted to buy neverwinter nights diamond for my laptop; only it is for Windows XP and I have Vista?

Why no Vista version?

Is there a way that won't mean giving something up, or slower running?

Do i need to find a different game?

    The other poster is incorrect as most games older games for xp do not run on vista (some might) without a patch or some type of fix as it's a whole new operating system. The newer xp games shouldn't have as many problems.

    I would get nwn opposed to nwn2.

    There is no vista version because the game is 5 years old(almost 6).

    There are fixes for this and it will run on vista with some tweaking...

    There is also a upcoming patch (yes for a 5 year old game) that should fix the problem with it not running on vista.(currently beta version 10)

    Anyways with the game, its expansions and all the community made modules (games) that are around you could play for the next 5 years and not finish all the content that is out there.

    Your Vista could be waiting to run Neverwinter Nights Diamond. I even have not at all heard of variations of a pastime made for XP, and yet another for Vista. Vista (could be) waiting to play maximum (if no longer all) XP video games, so Neverwinter Nights:Diamond could have no issue working. I even have Vista, and each pastime that replaced into stepped forward in the time of XP's time yet till now Vista's time has run on my Vista with out issue.

    Your Vista should be able to run Neverwinter Nights Diamond.

    I have never heard of versions of a game made for XP, and another for Vista. Vista (should be) able to play most (if not all) XP games, so Neverwinter Nights:Diamond should have no problem running.

    I have Vista, and every single game that was developed during XP's time but before Vista's time has run on my Vista with no problem.
