anybody hear about viacom's request from google about youtube?

they want all user info on videos watched by you tube users for their copyright lawsuit. they claim they don't want your personal info to pursue users, just need the stats on how many and who watched what, so they can sue google only! i think it's a croc of you know what! they just need user names and ip addresses, what a load of bull. all comments welcome.

I think it is time to boycott Viacom.

If they want to protect their intellectual properties, and they have that right, they should go after the people who post it not the ones who watch it.

The Judge who granted their request needs to be removed from power.

You said it as well as I could have.

Personally I guard my real email address almost as closely as I do my Social Security Number. There are literally hundreds of sites I would like to glean information from but they want an email address and I won't give it so I don't get the information. I think my attitude has put several percent of the web off limits to me. Frankly I don't care how many I miss out on, it simply isn't worth the risk to me.
