Knuckleball break?

I have been throwing a knuckle ball for about a year now. I have mastered getting no spin on the ball, but can not get the break. My knuckle ball is almost straight even though it has no spin everytime. Why is this?

it has to be thrown hard too. if you just lob it with no spin it wont do anything. but a hard thrown knuckleball will have the wind hit the seams, causing the ball to cut. thats why wakefield's ball is thrown 70+ mph

I agree with swingman. You can't just lob it. Thats why Wadefields fast ball works for him. He throws the two pitches pretty close to the same speed. One breaks the other doesn't. Practice at different speeds.

One major league catcher, when asked how to catch a knuckle ball, said, "You stay back on the ball and wait for the break. Then you walk back to the backstop and pick it up".

what you have to do is actually generate half a revolution on the ball to get the break. i remember when wakefield or wait no R.A. dickey pitched they said that all yo uneed is 1/2 a turn i nthe ball and it will be perfect.. good luck! ggreat pitch
