Guinea Pig Question???

My guinea pig made a hole under her hay, so nobody knows there's a hole and that she's in it. Why did she dig like a hamster?? Also, how old is she? She's 10oz, and is 5 1/2 in. long.

Update:

Yes, she has one of those plastic igloos.

Update 2:

I caught her eating and drinking when nobody was around.

What is she doing, exactly? Did she just dig a hole?

I really, don't want to tell you this, but right before my piggy passed, he dug a whole and slept in it. If you piggy is still moving around an eating though, than he is still happy, and there would be no need to worry.

As long as your guinea pig is happy and healthy she'll be fine. Just keep an eye on her. Cause ever since i had my guinea pig he was digging. So dont worry about it!! GOOOOD LUCKK!!! :D

By the way i think she may be at least from 2-3 yrs old. [Around there]

Have you given her a place to hide? Guinea pigs are prey animals, and they must have hidy holes, so she created her own.

My guinea pigs were about 3 months old when they weighed 10 ounces, but that really doesn't mean anything. Full grown, mine are currently 2lbs, 14oz.
