Anyone else think we have a false sense of choice when it comes to picking a president?

I think money and favors buy access to the ballot and the nominations.

I think it also buys endorsement from the major media outlets making candidates seem more popular and electable than they really are. If a popular talking head likes someone all the sudden that is everyones favorite from no research or opinion of their own. I see no reason to think otherwise. Prove me wrong?

I tend to agree with this:

"If voting changed anything it would be illegal" - Emma Goldman

Update:

mike - lol thanks for that! :)

What are you talking about "no choice"? The Repubmocratic Party has gone through painstaking efforts to make sure you have a choice between Coke and Coke Zero in their elections.

What choice? When statistics show that as soon as Hillery was winning Obama's coverage tripled. The MSM choose these two chuckle heads not Americans. Google Rupert Murdoch and why he can't live in Australia anymore.

The one eyed monster (TV) is eating the heart out of, and puking propeganda on America. The brainwashed mob will take us down.

Obama is unelectable...yet the media will make him president.

Ahh good ol' Emma Goldman? where have all the idealists gone? those people who really become outraged about things like ethnic cleansing, and dropping of cluster bombs or imperialist wars of aggression? Ah for the good ol' days!!! Well, to answer your question. Is it twiddle de dum who wants to be like twiddle de dee or is it twiddle de di who wants to differentiate himself from twiddle de dum?

    don't mourn, organize!

Yeah, it's funny to people from other countries to see Americans so passionately arguing about Obama vs McCain.

How does America come up with such choices with 300 million people within its borders?

I agree, the media has to be taken care of. It should be Non-profit.

I agree with you. The CORPORATE MEDIA is in control of who gets nominated it's that simple.
