Weight and having a new baby!?

My husband and I have been wanting to have our 2nd baby for a year now. But haven't been able to because I didn't have any insurance. Long story short, where he worked at, the insurance was outrageous, so we got blue cross for our little boy (outrageous too) and I don't have any. But now he has gotten a GREAT job with WONDERFUL insurance. So we are talking about having another baby. But he says I need to get back down to what I was when I got pregnant with my first son. I was 5' 10 175lbs when I got pregnant and the day I had him I was 230lbs. LOT I know. I know he is looking out for me and my health but I really don't know how to loss the weight. I am a stay at home mom. All I do all day is clean and play with my 3 yr old. I know I don't eat right. But there really isn't any diet foods that taste good.

If anyone know something for me to do. I have 90 days before the insurance goes into effect. And I can stared trying to have my 2nd BABY =)

A really easy way for me to lose my baby weight (I gained 46 lbs) was to buy the Lean Cuisine meals from the grocery store. They are between $2.50 and $3.00 usually. Most of them taste GREAT! They are usually between 250-310 calories per meal. I cut my intake down to 1500 calories a day. It's easier than it sounds!

Also, start taking a nice 30 minute walk (or longer if you have the time!) with your son. Just that little bit of cardio will go a LONG way. You will be slimmer and happier in no time.

And, your husband is right. It's a healthier pregnancy if you can lose a little bit! Good luck!! :)

Begin eating the things now that you know would be healthy for you if you were pregnant. Watch your portion control and make sure you and baby #1 have lots of outside time together. Im sure that 3 year old would give you a good workout and think about how fun it will be to play with mommy!

    Our RE recomends Weight Watchers.

The basic concept is not to limit what foods you eat, but limit the amount of food you eat. It also acts as a support group.

And every pound you can lose can increase your odds of getting pregnant. Being over weight makes it much more difficult to get pregnant.

Try and stay as active as you can, playing w/ your little one is great, the biggest advice I can give you is to eat slow (so slow that you think you look funny eating that slow) and also to stay active. Best of luck & Hope that you reach your goal weight! And congrats on the great insurance! :)

Source(s): When you eat slow you are able to enjoy the food, and the most important thing about eating slowly is that you are able to pick up on your body trying to tell you that your full. When you eat fast your body produces "happy" feelings and those supress the "i'm full" you don't pick up on your body telling you when your full or not when your eating fast. Just try it once, and if you don't like it, don't do it! haha what do you have to lose?
