Has a full grown Chimpanzee ever been considered for use as a Jockey?

They are quite light and as we seen on Planet of the Apes very capable on Horses

    I agree about the over-use of the whip and much as they are small and don't weigh much, jocks of the human speces are very very strong. There also has to be a brain in there somewhere (in some it's obvious this requirement is sadly lacking, at times - no names eh) when it comes to race riding.

    Nah, can't see it myself. A chimp with the charisma of a Frankie .... lololol
