Did Domino's Pizza get taken over?

We've had a Domino's Pizza in Carbondale Illinois for many years now, but just this past Monday evening, I noticed that the Domino's sign had changed to a Dough Boy's Pizza sign. I searched on Yahoo and found a restaurant in the Boston area with the Dough Boy's name, and the logo on the side of the truck in the picture was the same as the sign. Is this just a local thing, or was Domino's taken over?

If Domino's got taken over it would have been front page news here in Illitches hometown (that's the owner - and the owner of our local hockey team, the Red Wings) I mean if he gets a parking ticket we hear about it....

And I haven't heard anything like that....

Hope you find another pizza joint you like as well

I think it might just be a local thing. I go back a couple different Dominos everyday and see many delivery guys and it is still Dominos here! (tampa, fl)

I agree with one of the posters, the owner got rid of the franchise so he could make more money. It's a smart move, once you figure out everything, why do you need that monkey on your back, taking all that money from you?

No way. You can check their stock listing also. No takeover or merger. Owner probably got tired of paying their high franchise fees for the name and switched.
