Internal Modem in MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo?
Does MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo have an internal modem? If not, why not?

I'm asking coz I had a situation today when we had a power cut and I could not connect to internet using router. I though I'll plug into the telephone line directly so wasn;t able to use my AirPort. Didn't know how to configure using broadband with cable connection so thought I'd do it via dialup. I called ISP to get their dialup number but could not find internal modem in system prefs to set it all up. In Network > Ethernet I could not find a place to even type a phone number in, so I figured there maybe is no internal modem. That sucked! I wish I knew more!!!

If you are referring to a 56k dial up modem, those things went out with the ark. If you are referring to Ethernet - its built in.
You can get an external 56k modem dongel for the MBP I think.
