Where is a good place to take your fun, fifty-something year old mother in Los Angeles?

My mom is coming tomorrow from Texas. She is a little conservative but a lot of fun. Enjoys drinking and likes to have a good time.

    I just had my mom in town. She's 54. We did the following:

    Pacific Dining Car (restaurant w. great steak and bar in Santa Monica)

    Busbys (bar/club for dinner and pool/ski ball/ etc

    Surfing in Malibu

    Hiking in the Santa Monica hills (they've got great paths)

    3rd Street Promanade

    Main Street Santa Monica for Mexican

    Lucky Fish in Beverly Hills for Sushi (they've got a cool sushi bar)

    i say take her to a comedy club in LA or a bar if shes fun but somewhere that will suit her age
