Endometriosis is a very strange problem because it can either cause a lot of symptoms or you may not feel any different, in most cases endo is found in your ovaries but it can spread to any internal organs and eventually get anywhere in your body, some of the side effects are pain in your ovaries or where the endo is growing, nausea, fatigue, pain during intercourse, pain while having a bowel movement, diarrhea or constipation, painful periods, you may have irregular periods or you can having spotting throughout the month(My period is like clockwork I know the day and time I will get mine), infertility, back pain, head aches, I have endo and I don't have all of these symptoms but like I said you might have a lot of them or you may not feel anything, if you think you have it have your doctor check you out they will probably start with an internal sonogram to check the most common places like your ovaries first, from there if you do have it there are a few different treatments you can have the laproscopic surgery which is the only way to actually diagnose the problem and while they are in there they will take out as much and they can get,Endometriosis spreads when you get your period so they have a few things that will stop your period. Lupron is a drug they offer which will put your body in a menopausal state you will not get a period while on this drug which will help the endo stop spreading and possibily shrink or remove what is there, another option is a round of continuous birthcontrol for however long you and your doctor think is right for you again it will stop your period and give the endo a chance to shrink, pregnancy helps also but if one of your symptoms are infertility then like me you will have to go with some of the other options....Good Luck.

I found out I had it when I had a tubal ligation reversal surgery in April. I guess the doctor found it when he did the laparoscopy, he said he got rid of it but I know it's not true because since he told me I had it I started looking it up and found out a lot of the things I was feeling prior to the surgery were in fact endometriosis symptoms and have recently started to come back again (only 6-7 months after he claims to have taken care of it). The main endo symptoms are pain and heavy periods, but there are others like being bloated constantly, having frequent BV infections, bleeding during/after sex, vaginal discomfort... Unfortunately most doctors will just dismiss it as being an infection because they don't know a lot about it so I did a lot of research.

For me, I now take 4 cranberry pills every morning, plus 1 to 2 Acidophilus pills and I eat a yogurt every day. I have also just started taking Vitamin C chewables too. I recently read that there is an anti-inflammatory called Endo-ex that works but I have yet to try it (it's $40 a bottle). These are all over the counter/herbal remedies.

The main thing to remember is that the only way for a doctor to correctly diagnose it is by doing a laparoscopy, and even if they do surgery to remove it it can grow back, and they may not remove it all.

No two woman feel the same exact symptoms, where one woman may feel an extraordinary amount of pain another woman may not. Birth control may help but once you stop taking it the symptoms do come back, and woman with endo have a hard time getting pregnant.

If you have endo or think you do you will need to see a doctor who specializes in Endometriosis.

Hey I was once identified with endo @ 15 and was once swiftly referred for a laproscopy (a surgical process wherein they make an incision to your navel and position a tiny digital camera within to have a squiz approximately your ovaries and many others to seem for any endo - it appears gross like little cysts) and should you do have any they'll then make yet another incision both part of your navel for his or her scalpels and tongs after which actually "slice" off the endo. The operation is rather painless even though u do consider slightly smooth circular the stomach for a well month. The operation has an eighty five% luck price (that means that for eighty five% of endo patients it is going to by no means develop again). Being at the capsule additionally is helping to sluggish down the development of endometriosis. Talk for your GP approximately it however I could strongly advocate it - its converted my existence :-)

You really need to read "Endometriosis Bible & Violet Protocol" by Zoe Brown (also available in electronic format here: http://www.endometriosisbible.info/ ). It's about how to eradicate endometriosis disease forever. It worked for me, you will see results in only a matter of weeks. Good Luck!

Endometrium is the normal layer that covers inside of uterus(female reproductive organ).if the endometrium is present somewhere else other than uterus it is called as endometriosis.

usual symptoms are pain, swelling, fever, abnormal menstural bleeding etc.

treatment usually is with the help of hormones.these are given to suppress abnormal endometrium.

in severe cases surgery can be done and that endometrium removed
