Why did rich patrons sponsor voyages in the age of exploration?
I need this quick or I'll fail my junior cert.........only messing.

They sponsored voyages because they wanted the bounty of wealth that the voyagers were to find and bring back. columbus couldn't get Portugal to pony up for the cost of his trip so he went to Spain.
