I need Mom and Cousin help!!!!?
I want to go to this Nativity reenactment with my cousin, she had invited me and everything, but it is on my b-day and I didn't want to be away from my family all afternoon and evening. My brother wanted to come also but he had a club to go to in the afternoon. Now my mom wants to take me and my brother LATE to the reenactment and I won't be able to spend time with my cousin. I had already told her that I was going with her and we had made plans to go out to eat after the program. They have different runs and so we wouldn't be on the same one because she would have been there 3 hours before me. What do I do? Should I tell my mom no thanks, and that I would rather go with my cousin? Or should I go and tell my cousin that I can't come with her?

Both are family, and it's important that you are able to spend time with both of them to celebrate the event. Tell your mom that you would really like to spend your birthday at this reenactment and that it's important to you that you do it with your cousin. Ask your mom if you can meet her somewhere after the reenactment and you and your family can all go out to dinner with your cousin, or tell your cousin you would like to spend part of your birthday with your mom and brother and invite her back for cake and dinner at your house. This way, you won't be blowing your cousin off for your plans but you'd still be able to spend time with your family. Happy Birthday! :-)
