Well, when talking about planetary history, one has to define "human". There have been several of our ancestors that walked on 2 legs. Are they all human, in terms of your question?
Our species, Homo sapiens, has apparently been around for about 200,000 years according to current anthropology.
Our genus, Homo (human), has been around for 2.5 million years.

According to scientific evidence...they've done this more than once with the exact same results...
Mitochondrial DNA shows humans have been here for 200,000-250,00 years. Nothing past that.
Added: Human writings have been found as far back as 6,700 years but humans as a species have mitochondrial DNA that shows we've been here longer.

its not my opinion ..
and it depends on how far back you want to go. At what point did/do we consider our ancestors to be most like us today ?
when a more advanced language developed ? that was about 60,000 years ago. Or .. when we 1st started walking on 2 feet ? Or .. when we started to use critical thinking and building tools for hunting and clothing ?
2 - 5 million years depending how far back u wanna go with this

Homo Sapiens at least 35,000 years ago. Cro-Magnon much longer. Our first human ancestors go way back.
