How to do Es and natural logs?
Just wondering if you have for example
2e^3x and you natural log it to get rid of the e does it go to
ln(2) 3x or (2)3x.
i.e. Do you separately log the 2 or take it as part of the e?
Thanks

A natural log (lnx) means log(base e)x. Therefore 2e^3x = 2ln3x.

First of all you have to express question clearly.
Is it 2 e^(3x) or e^3 x ?
Will take a guess at 2 e^(3x)
Let y = 2 e^(3x)
ln y = ln 2 + 3e^(3x)
3e^(3x) = ln y - ln 2
3e^(3x) = ln (y/2)

Let me show you with an example:
2*e^(3x) = 4
e^(3x) = 2
3x = ln(2)
x = (1/3) * ln(2)
Hope this helps.
