What possible provocation would justify killing hundreds of Israelis?
Would the deaths of 20 Palestinians in five years from Israeli attacks be reason enough? What actions by the Israeli government or military would justify a full scale attack by air and ground over several weeks and the deaths of hundreds of Israeli people in their own homes in a two week period?
There have been between 16 deaths in Israel caused by Qassam Rockets and Mortar Fire since June 28, 2004 .
It is a sinple enough question and there are many here who justify killing hundreds in the Gaza strip - why can't most or you answer teh provocation question? Is it because you attach a different value to a Jewish than an Arab life?

Hamas is choreographing the bloodletting and you are being sucked in by it. Read the article from Yahoo news http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090109/ap_on_re_mi_ea... . The UN offered a ceasefire, which Israel would accept, but Hamas rejected, vowing street to street, house to house fighting. Gaza is one of the most densely populated places in the world and street fighting would claim thousands of civilian lives--something Hamas is counting on. And they are up front about it. Why aren't pro-Palestinian posters demanding an accounting from Hamas for this.

The "disproportionate response" argument doesn't wash. If a knife-wielding crazy attacks you, you are allowed to kill him, even before he stabs you. There has never been a requirement that your defense be a lesser or equal stab.

doesn't matter. with a contrived agenda and a long term plan, any sort of thing may serve as provocation. Israel has that agenda, has that plan.

How many murderers attempting to kill your child will you be willing to kill? 1 murderer? 1,000 murderers? You'll let the murderer number 1,001 kill your one child?
