Is anyone having issues with Turbo Tax rejecting tax returns? I filed the first time on Friday the 16th. ?

Then I was made aware today that my return was rejected. It said because of a duplicate SS# or another return had been filed with one of the SS#'s from my return. I double checked my return and verified they were all correct. Then resubmitted it...not 5 minutes went by and I got an email stating it was rejected again! I knew that could not be right since the IRS has to accept or reject and surly it would take longer than 5 min. to reject it again. So I called Turbo Tax....they walked through it with me and said it is not on my end but on the IRS's end that maybe someone had used one of our numbers. They said since you were rejected again you can try again to fix it and resubmit. When I tried for the third time after being rejected twice I got a message saying Transmission Error. There there was already a return in the system and it appears that I am trying to file the same return twice. I have used TT 8 years and never had a issue EVER. What is going on?

Update:

Thanks for the info. I did notice on TT's boards other people say they were having the same issues.

    I just got the same error! I googled it and here is the response;

    Error Code 0010 Sequence 30 - State Routing Number

    Reason for this error

    Usually this error comes with sequence 30 on ST00001. This error indicates the bank routing number entered on your State return is incorrect.

    How to correct this error

    From our homepage, www.olt.com, choose the Correct My Rejected Return link on the right under Quick Links. Enter the user name and password created when you started your return and the scrambled code at the bottom of the screen. Once logged in you will use the Quick Navigation links located above the online interview. This will allow you to navigate the site without having to save and continue through each page.

    Next, select the STATE tab on the top of the screen and then Save and Continue to the Direct Deposit or Direct Debit page and correct the routing number. If the routing number has been entered correctly you will need to contact your bank for a correct routing number.

    Once you have made your correction you will then save and continue to the end of your return and resubmit.

    *We strongly recommend checking the status of your return in 24-48 hours using the Login to My Income Tax Return link to verify that your return has been accepted.

    Mine went through fine but I did read this problem on the board for TT. Look at the email you got from Turbo Tax. Down towards the bottom you will see history. Some people were saying that their returns were filed twice. Hence one was rejected. If you need more info check the boards on turbo tax. They are really helpful.

    This reject code you mentioned: "F1040-510 - If Form 1040, Line 6a checkbox is checked, then Primary SSN in the Return must not be the same as a Dependent's SSN on another tax return." means someone has claimed you as a dependent on another tax return. You can mail in your return and wait for the IRS to process it. This will most likely cause the person who claimed u to be audited. They will have to prove to the IRS that they had to claim you (residency, relationship, support test) Alternatively, you can efile your return as is (you would hv to check the box that says claimed as a dependent on another return.) This may effect the amount of your refund. If you pursue this option, you can later file an admended return so that u may claim your personal exemption.

    Somebody else has filed a tax return using your SSN somewhere on it. Most likely someone has claimed you as a dependent. You cannot e-file but must print yours out and mail it in. The IRS will then contact both you and the other taxpayer and ask for proof of your claims and will resolve the issue using the law and documentation that you provide.
