Urinary tract infection?

i went to the doctors on tuesday cause i thought i had a UTI, i used to get them all the time when i was younger so i know how it feels. the doctor gave me antibiotics and said i would take about 2 days to clear but ive been taking them for 6 days and they havent helped at all... anyone know why this could be? or what it could be? ive had a burning pain when i go to the toilet, need to go all the time but when i do go its just a small amount... thanks for any help

    You may have an antibiotic resistance strain. Return to the doctor and ask for more testing and another prescription. Don't wait. I'm sure you saw the article on the Brazilian model who died from the Pseudomonas strain.

    You may have developed an infection with an organism that is resistant to the antibiotic that has been chosen. You should go back to your doctor if you don't improve in the next few days. He may need to send a urine sample to the lab for sensitivity testing to determine which antibiotic is suitable. Don't panic though as other answerers might have suggested. It's not that unusual...

    You may be immune to the antibiotics. Go to the doctor or call the doctor to determine what you should do.

    Sounds like the medication isn't working for you. I would ask for something different.
