Advantages and disadvantages of parthenogenesis?

Please don't bother giving me a link to wikipedia. I have already looked at it.

Well it is an advantage because only one organism is required to create a population. No energy is wasted in having to find a mate. I know you've seen the wiki for parthenogenesis but this link is for asexual reproduction, which parthenogenesis is, and gives you the costs and benefits. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asexual_reproduction

Parthenogenesis creates a duplicate offspring, it can pass down all mutated genes. It does not allow the organism to evolve to its environment through the process of natural selection. Parthenogenic organisms require stable environments to survive. Some organisms such as tapeworms are not mobile and could not reproduce without this process.
