    >>Public transportation from McCarran airport to downtown(Fremont Street)<<

You can take either the #108 Paradise bus or the #109 Maryland Pkwy North* bus, both run directly from McCarran to Fremont Street and the DTC(Downtown Transportation Center). It's $4 for a 24hr CAT bus pass >Carry-on luggage only<

    http://www.rtcsnv.com/

Catch the CAT bus from McCarran at "Ground Level Transportation 0" - You will see the sign on your right, in the baggage claim area.

We take the bus everytime we stay downtown**, it takes right around 45 minutes, which in many cases is less time than you would spend standing in line waiting for a cab...

*It's the #109 Maryland Pkwy South bus that runs out to the SSTT(South Strip Transfer Terminal) - There is no need to go out of your way, unless you just want to take the Deuce down the strip for sightseeing purposes..

**We go to LV two or three times a year for two weeks or more at a time and have for well over 20 years. We generally stay either downtown or at one of the locals casinos.

It's probably a long shot, but if you're staying at the El Cortez, they are the only downtown hotel that has a free shuttle to and from McCarran airport....

A taxi would be about 25$ give or take. Kinda of depends on traffic, and which route they take. But it should be not much more then 30$ ever in my opinon.

Unless you hotel provides cheaper, or free shuttle service, its probably the best and easiest way to get there.

Renting a car is also a good option. For the price you are going to pay for a cab back and forth to the airport, you could have a rental car for about 3 days. Parking is free everywhere.

The cab fare from Mccarran Airport to downtown is approximately $22 plus tip. Here is how it breaks down.

    http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/taxi-fare.php

You can also take a shuttle from the airport for around $9 but it will take longer.

There are no direct bus routes from the Airport to downtown. To get to the downtown, take the Deuce route 109 to the South Strip Transfer Terminal. From there, are lots of buses going downtown Visit rtcsnv.com or call (702)228-RIDE (7433) for more information.

It is about $30 plus tip. I would recommend you try a shuttle that goes there or the bus system and save money. Also many hotels when you book the room will confirm if they have their own "free" transportation to the hotel.
