Do you think countries should censor what their citizens view on the internet?

I know that countries like China censor what is viewed on the internet. Thailand also tried to ban any video on youtube that criticized the government in Thailand. Do you think its right for a country to do that?

Let me think about that for a minute...um, NO!

It will happen here in the U.S. though. What will happen is they will wrap it up in some kind of anti-porn bill. With cries of "It's for the children", and people (being the sheep that they are) will say "well, since it's for the children it must be good" and it will pass because we all know that it's easier and better to let the government be in charge rather than parents doing their jobs.

Nooooooo!!! The Internet should be treasured. Certainly as with many things that are so powerful it can be used for good and bad, but it is the last bastion of the truth, where people speak their minds free from political correctness. When you want to know what is in peoples hearts and minds you only have to log on and find out. I would hate for that to be interfered with.

NO. --- I'm sure the government would love it, but they already have their nose too far into our business.
