Guinea pigs age question?

When I was little I had soooo many guinea pigs ! =P

my first one lived till she was 9 years old

the second was till she was about 5

the third was till age 6 (I think she missed the second and was so sad )

the fourth lived till it was 6 too

and I also kept care of my brothers so that one lived till it was 8

Some guinea pigs live for only 2 or 3 years. Others can live for 6 or 8 years. The oldest one I've ever had lived to be about six. If your guinea has lived this long, you are doing a wonderful job.

You are very lucky to have a six year old guinea pig all of my past guinea pigs have died of old age at the age of 5 (except for one who sadly died at 6 months with cancer) i suggest you take your guinea pig for a vet check up just to see if he/she is healthy you will be happy to hear that my friends guinea pig lived to the age of 9! hope this helped

The lifespan for a Guinea Pig is 4-7 years... I haven't had one but my friend did and she only had him for 2-3 years. But she got him when he was about one or two years old.

The average age for a guniea pig is 6-7years and my old guniea pig lived till he was 8!

It all vary's alot. I love Guniea PIgs lol!!
