why cant i watch a family dvd once i have saved on my computer?
Wwe have a family dvd that will play throu window media player if dvd is in drive, but once i have saved it to computer it wont play can someone please help me and tell me y? thanks so much an how to fix this thanks again

How are you saving it on your computer? Are you just opening it and copying the files? I imagine that is what you are trying since it isn't working! You need to convert the dvd to a computer video format or image the whole disk and then load it up in a virtual drive. I would just recommend that you just convert it to mpeg or avi. You can get tons of free converters from www.download.com and convert the dvd! Then it will play on your computer! Otherwise, I'm pretty sure there are a few media players (not windows media player) that WILL play it how you have it copied over but I can't remember which ones because I never copy a dvd like that!! ;-) Hope this helps you out a little!!

How are you saving the DVD? You can't just copy and paste what is on the DVD. Won't work that way.
