Are You CBS Fans Aware That Today Is Another Bell Anniversary?
For all you daytime CBS lovers, today is the fifth year since Mr. William Joseph Bell died of Alzheimer's. Can you image how much more different our soaps would be had he not passed. Guiding Light may not be coming to a climax in September had he not passed. What are you guy's feelings?

Wow it doesn't seem like it's been 5 years. I admired him a lot. I really wish he was still here overseeing things on the CBS soaps. Thanks for the question!

He died in 2005, so it's actually only the fourth anniversary of his death.
Since he only wrote for GL for a couple of years back in the '50s, I think it would probably still be coming end now. But I do think if Bill Bell was still around today Y&R would not have disintegrated into the awfulness it has been for the last few years, that is for sure!
