You can buy component and composite cables for the US that are compatible with PAL consoles (you may need to look online for these, though).
This means you will still have to play PAL games, so you would need to buy them all online, too. Same goes for DVDs.
If you feel it's going to be too much of a hassle, then sell it, get your money back and buy one from the US.

You have those options:
1) Sell it, and use the money to an NTSC console. Of course you can always save the money for something else, like a car, a new TV etc...
2) Keep it, and get new PAL games by ordering online. I'm sure even in the U.S. there are PAL games to be found somehow.
3) Trade it with someone in the same situation with you (might be a bit hard to find, but I believe possible).

Well I would sell it honestly speaking.....The fact is that if you would want a game you would have to order it from overseas and have it shipped which would end up costing you more in the long run of things. Even the HD will do you no good. PAL saves can not be played with the NTSC game so even just keeping that would not work. Sorry :-/

Order your games Online then? If not, the obvious thing to do is sell it. Or you could keep it and just buy another one =P. There are some games that are never released in America, but are still great.
Fantastic Example: Sword of Eternia: OZ (PS2, released in Japan and Europe, never NTSC)

Well i think the best thing is to just sell it, plain and simple. See if you can exchange the currency for U.S. currency and than buy an xbox 360 here. Besides, its probably cheaper here than what it is over there. Best of luck to you mate

Couldn't you sell it to someone else who could use the PAL system? Try that before you move.

Don't listen to these ppl, don't burn your console.
Its like burning your money and you wouldn't like that now would you?
Just try selling it over there, from wherever you are from. Im sure some1 less fortunate would like to purchase it from you. Just try not to sell it for a really high price. But not too low either. :O

Save it and bring it back to the US. It would be a rare find and a collector would pay a generous price to get one.

sell it here and then the money u make can buy another 1 in America because most things there are cheaper than some things here.
