My son is 3 an has congenital cataracts in both eyes and is on a waiting list for surgery we live in New Zealand as was wondering how common is it? An if anyone has been through it with their child. If so could you please share you story with me as I am a bit beside myself as there is very little information on this and have yet to meet or talk to another parent that has been through or going through the same things thanks so much

SO?... get him on the queue to have cataract surgery... they can only do one eye at a time and he has to be old enough so the eyes don't grow after the implants go in... otherwise.. it's not the end of the world... and at LEAST he can get it for FREE in N.Z.... in AmeriKa it would cost about $6000 PER EYE to get it done.
