Driving Test (actual and written)?

I got my learner's permit after taking the written exam. Now, do I have to take the written exam again AND the driving exam for my license, or do I just have to take the driving exam? Also, is it necessary for me to take the Driver's Education course if I'm already 18?

I live in Massachusetts by the way.

As an adult, you simply need to take the drive test. No Driver Education or other training is required. HOWEVER...you may find it helpful to at least contact a driving school prior to taking the drive test. Most (quality) schools will do a single lesson to be sure you're ready for the drive test. Be sure you specify you want a trained instructor (not just a college kid.)
