French book HELP! EMEGENCY!!!?

I have a french book report due really soon and I haven't read the book (because it is way too boring). The book is L'ile de Black Mor by Jean-Francois Laguionie. I really need a full summary of the book. I know the book is a movie too, if any one can find it on the net (preferably with subtitle that are english) it would be really useful. THXX!

    Kid, a 15-year-old hard laborer, steals a map that promises to reveal the location of the notorious pirate Black Mor's treasure. Together with his crew -- MacGregor, Beanpole, Taka and Jim the monkey -- Kid procures a vessel and sets out to sea.

    That was all I could find about the cartoon movie, sorry.
