Is it possible to copy XP from one PC and put it on another?
I have a windows Vista and my laptop was first made for XP. I know that it does work to put XP on it, as my dad's IT assistant did it with his laptop. I want to copy it from my desktop pc to my laptop.
Thanks

From what I understand you have to do a fresh install of XP in order to downgrade from Vista, which will require the install media of some sort. Then when you activate, you have to do it over the phone, and explain that you are downgrading from Vista and they will perform the activation for you because of your valid Vista product key.
