Why do dogs eat grass to make themselves puke?

They don't. You've fallen for an old wives' tale.

Dogs eat grass because they like it, plain and simple. IF they eat enough of it, they will get loose stools or vomit because they are unable to digest it.

They eat grass when they have an upset stomach. I think it's like medicine to a dog. Mine do it too, they just don't puke it back up. It's normal for a dog to eat grass. Don't worry about it. It's a dog thing.

When a dog feels like it is having a digestive problem it eats grass. Grass just helps the dog clean their insides.

some dogs do this to relieve stomach upset... maybe thd dog as a belly ache an needs to vomit.some dogs do this too out of bordum and others just because they enjoy the taste.

Whenever a dog eats grass, leaves, weeds, or etc, he has an upset stomach. Eating grass calms their stomach down, or it can also make him throw up that's upsetting his stomach. My dog always did that for a short time, but then I knew why.

Mostly because they ate something tht upset theyre stomach.. Dogs have been known to eat something poisinous then eats grass to "puke" it back up to save their lives..

If they have an upset stomach, they'll eat grass which makes them vomit, so that whatever upset their stomach is thrown back up, therefore, not going to be upsetting for them.
