What are some things I could plant in the empty spaces in my garden that would be good for this time of year?

I've harvested peas, beans, lettuce, radishes, onions, potatoes. What should I put in their place to not waste the rest of the summer? We live in a hot climate, so still have LOTS of growing time left, but it is 90 degrees most days here. I am a first year gardener so need help on this!

I would do more potatoes, as they only take around 2 months. Or if you wait a month or so, it is time to start our garlic for next year.

I love herbs! There are some very beautiful herbs and you can cut fresh pieces to use in your food! I think Italian parsley looks beautiful and is so easy to grow. I have also found Stevia If you are not planning on using that area for your vegetables next year blackberries grow well in heat and peppermint, spearmint and chocolate mint grows very well too. Be careful if you have plans for rotating that area because they can be intrusive to any garden. I love them they are hearty, healthy and grow like they love life! I also plant oregano, lemon mint, fennel, lavender as well as flowers.

Go to any professional nursery and ask questions you might find someone that has a passion for gardening that is a wealth of information.

Have fun in your garden. best wishes.

    Blessings, Light & Love.

"Yohaku no bi": "the beauty of empty space".

Be aware that planting in it will no longer give you the empty space...

But then I can imagine that you like that more. Actually in our garden we have combined the two, that is "empty space" and a herb-garden.
